Recycling isn’t the ultimate solution from an environmental point of view, when we look at it as a form of waste diversion. This is because recycling does not produce any net energy and produces lots of greenhouse gas emissions.
Ultimately we need to stop generating these types of products in order to really reduce our environmental footprint on the planet. It’s important for people to realize that recycling is still mechanical separation so it adds more energy costs and problems that never happen when you just reuse things in your home instead.
