If biofuels are less polluting than fossil fuels, why aren’t fossil fuels replaced with biofuels?

Biofuels are a tiresome trend that has been around for decades. They’re expensive to produce, and when you add in all of their necessary resources like land or water used during production — the numbers aren’t looking good. Many experts say we should just stick with fossil fuels because they’re actually much cheaper than these newfangled biofuel crops!
